Happy Mother’s Day

Mothers Day II

by Steve Nease

Here is a day that should never go unrecognized especially to all the wonderful mothers everywhere.  Those of you who have understood how to love and nurture; support and teach; stand as an example of integrity and strength and most importantly, prepare their children to go out into what can be an unforgiving, challenging world while also remaining a constant net of safety should you fall.

This is for everyone of you exemplary mothers out there. You know who you are and how import you are to your children.  I will say this whether you realize it or not…….

Love you mum and have a Happy Mother’s Day! You are truly “Unforgettable”!

Goodbye

Goodbye I

Why is it so difficult to say goodbye? Is it because we innately sense it is “the end” of something and human beings by nature fear endings?  Logically speaking, everything that has a beginning, has an ending – stories we read, the journeys we take; the relationships we make; the life we live all end at some point , by one means or another.  The only variable is its duration.

Therefore, we should not be saddened by goodbyes but rather seek to understand that when we say “goodbye” to one thing, we are saying “hello” to another. Sometimes we can even say hello to that which we previously said goodbye to though not recommended unless some maturation has taken place.  We should never fail to forget that the past is the past for a reason – by fault or design.

So I say with a certain degree of regret, compassion and trepidation, “goodbye” to the past. In order to mature and evolve, I must be moving on.  I state courageously with understanding, enthusiasm and optimism, “Hello uncertainty, Hello unpredictability, Hello stranger”. Welcome, it’s a pleasure to meet you.

Here is a blast from the past. Some goodbyes just don’t stick.
