For A Moment….

Moment I

For a moment…. can we say all the things we wanted to say

For a moment…. can we kiss at the first light of day

For a moment…. can love be what we mean and not the game we play

Last night I fell deep within the sleep of a lifetime and on a lonely solitary road all signs pointed to you

There were no spirits and no demons just visions of an angel for a clue

When I awoke drenched in a cold sweat I realised that…. the angel was you

For a moment…. can we let our eyes meet without words getting in the way

For a moment…. can we embrace and let all of our cares fade away

For a moment…. can love be what we mean and not the game we play

For a moment

In a room with four walls your lovely face stared hauntingly at me piercing my soul

Your voice whispered the words that made me whole

Then I realised that without you – there was no warmth…. only the terrifying cold!

Damn it! For a moment…. can we let our eyes meet without words getting in the way

For a moment…. can we embrace and let all of our cares fade away

For a moment…. can love be what we mean and not the game we play

Yeah! Only for a moment!

For a moment…. can we say all the things we wanted to say

For a moment…. can we kiss at the first light of day

For a moment…. can love be what we mean and not the game we play

Just for a moment!  Just for a moment!  Only for a moment!

I Remember Mother!

Tree III

As I gaze into the mirror darkly

mesmerised by that which stares back from the infinite well in time-space

She struggles for release from his tempestuous hold

How long has it been since the light of Lemuria dimmed?

Since intuition has been vanquished by shadowy mysticism and the logical mind?

How many millennia have passed, ravaged by him and his seed?

The land carefully constructed to subjugate her children

isolating them within a two dimensional existence Tree II

forgetting the golden age that once was

Though well crafted images hold sway

while sinister manuevers are orchestrated in the dark,

the embers of mother’s essence still burn

Though dangerous liaisons are manufactured

and the privileged seek shelter from the judgement,

her light awakens within me

Though Magicians quest for mastery over the elements

and the self chosen huddle in black illumination,

I begin to soar uncontrollably phasing through made-stone and earth

Learning to fly again is both horrifying and wondrous!

Regardless of that which lies beyond the horizon

or what returns amid the cold orbs of the night,

I am comforted, made wiser by the nurturing spirit

and made whole again

I remember Mother!
